KP293 type 1 Expression medium
Cells were cultured under the conditions described above using this medium (KP293 type 1) and commercially available medium (Medium A). Cell proliferation of 2 × 10⁶ cells/mL or more was observed on day 3 of culture , and stable culture was achieved for 10 passages.
GFP Plasmid was transfected using PEI MAX® ( Polysciences, Inc.). The number of GFP-positive cells was measured using a flow cytometer. Fluorescence images from day 1 and day 2 after transfection are shown. This medium showed a GFP-positive cell rate comparable to that of commercially available media.
Transfection was performed under the conditions described, and IgG expression levels were measured using the Octet system (Protein A) on days 3 and 7 of culture. When using this medium, approximately three times higher IgG expression was observed compared to commercially available mediums.

KP293 type 1 Expression Medium is for suspension and agitation culture of human fetal kidney cell-derived 293 cells (e.g. FreeStyle 293-F cells, etc.). It can be used for expression and production of recombinant proteins using 293 cells.

This product contains L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine, so there is no need to add L-Glutamine separately.

These include FreeStyle 293-F and Expi293F cells. We plan to increase the number of examples in the future.
