CARD HyperOva® (Superovulation Reagent for mouse) (Japanese Patent No. 5927588) is an ultra-superovulation reagent that is 3-4 times more efficient at inducing ovulation than the conventional PMSG-hCG method (80 ova per C57BL/6 mouse versus approximately 20). CARD HyperOva® is also effective with many other strains. Even further gains in efficiency can be realized by using CARD MEDIUM® during the IVF procedure.

CARD HyperOva® (Superovulation Reagent for mouse) FAQs

I noticed precipitates in CARD HyperOva® (Cat. No. KYD-010-EX). Can I still use it?
Occasionally, some components may precipitate in CARD HyperOva®. The precipitate is not the principal active ingredient of the product. Please avoid using the precipitate.

Can I use CARD HyperOva® (Cat. No. KYD-010-EX) for superovulation in rats?
CARD HyperOva® is intended for use in mice only. For rats, please use CARD HyperOva® for RAT (Cat. No. KYD-FR-003), which is specifically designed for rat superovulation.

Can I aliquot and store CARD HyperOva® (Cat. No. KYD-010-EX) frozen after opening?
No. We do not recommend refreezing CARD HyperOva® after thawing, as its quality cannot be guaranteed after thawing and refreezing.

I obtained fewer oocytes than expected with CARD HyperOva® (Cat. No. KYD-010-EX). Could the product be defective?
For C57BL/6J mice, administration of CARD HyperOva® is recommended between 26 and 30 days of age (with the day of birth designated as Day 0). Due to the nature of CARD HyperOva®, its efficacy may not be fully achieved at certain ages. In addition, the optimal age may vary depending on the mouse strain. Please contact us regarding special strains or age groups.
