Astrocytes (rat) FAQs
Can I subculture Rat Astrocytes (Cat. No. PMC-AST01C) and Mouse Astrocytes (Cat. No. PMC-AST02C)? Since these primary astrocytes are isolated from tissues, we do not recommend subculturing, as non-astrocytic cells with higher proliferative capacity may become dominant during subculture.
Have you measured the purity of Rat Astrocytes (Cat. No. PMC-AST01C) and Mouse Astrocytes (Cat. No. PMC-AST02C)? We have not quantitatively measured the purity of Rat Astrocytes or Mouse Astrocytes. However, immunostaining has confirmed that more than 90% of the cells are GFAP-positive.
