Product Description

• Expanded polystyrene shipping box, Type K
  (Effective internal dimensions: 190 × 250 × 75 mm)

• Thermal packs for 20 °C, F-20
  (1 × 1 kg pack and 3 × 480 g packs)

• Outer carton
  (External dimensions: 340 × 440 × 330 mm)

Preheating / Precooling of Thermal Packs

The F-20 thermal packs used with this product require preheating or precooling prior to use.
Be sure to preheat or precool the thermal packs for at least 2 days under the conditions described below.

• When the average ambient temperature during transport is ≤ 20 °C:
  Preheat at 23–30 °C.
  Use the packs in a transparent, gel-like state.

• When the average ambient temperature during transport is > 20 °C:
  Precool at 10–17 °C (e.g., using tap water).
  Use the packs in a white, solidified state.

Note:
If the thermal packs are stacked tightly together, preheating or precooling of the inner packs may be insufficient.
Leave gaps between the packs to ensure that heat is adequately transferred throughout the entire pack.

Packaging Procedure

1. Preheat or precool the F-20 thermal packs
   Preheat or precool the F-20 thermal packs (1 × 1 kg pack and 3 × 480 g packs) according to the specified conditions.

2. Set the 1 kg thermal pack
   Remove the retaining plate from the expanded polystyrene shipping box and place one 1 kg thermal pack inside (Figure 1).

3. Set the 480 g thermal packs
   Reinstall the retaining plate, then place one 480 g thermal pack along each side wall (Figure 2).

4. Load the samples
   Place cell culture plates, culture bags, or other samples into the box.
   When transporting planar culture samples (e.g., culture plates), insert shock-absorbing material (such as paper wipes) between the samples and the thermal packs (Figure 3).
