Purpose of Use
- Detection of coliform bacterium
- Test for bacterial lactose resolution
Composition (1L＝20.0g)
- Peptone：10.0g
- Lactose：5.0g
- Meat extracts （BOVINE）：5.0g
- Bromothymol blue：0.024g
- pH：7.2±
Note: Please store at room temperature in a dark place with sealing hermetically.
Procedures
- Add 20.0 g of Lactose Broth to 1000 ml of purified water and mix enough.
- After heating dissolution, aliquot the solution to the each test tube by 10 ml which was put fermentation tube or Durham pipe in.
- Sterilize at high pressure steamof 121 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Use it after quenching.
- Use it for the inspection of food and an underwater coliform bacterium.
Don't use if air bubbles are left to fermentation tube or the Durham pipe after sterilization.
