When analyzing the intestinal flora, it is essential to maintain gut microbiota in collected faces stable for long period. For this purpose, specific feces collection container has been newly developed. This new equipment can be handled easily and enables to keep gut microbiota stable at room temperature for long term. 2 types of equipment are prepared improving container for fecal occult blood checking generally used. The one is "feces sampling container / brush type" suitable for collect samples from stools and the other is "feces sampling container / spoon type" applicable to watery samples. These containers contain solution inside to keep DNA in samples stable even at room temperature.

It should be noted that containers contains preservative solution can not be used for RT-PCR nor physical and chemical analysis of feces.
