Celloger Mini Live Cell Imaging System

(available through Cosmo Bio USA to USA and Canada customers only)

In-incubator, brightfield microscope with autofocus, motorized X-Y stage and software for time-lapse imaging, video creation, and cell analysis.

Affordable time lapse live cell imaging your way.

With other scopes in this class, focusing is manual. And if image capture of more than one position is allowed at all, you're locked into a single position. Not so with Celloger Mini! With Autofocusing Celloger Mini set any imaging positions you need; even multiple locations in a single well of a multiwell plate. With these features and more, Celloger Mini is simply the best positioned instrument in its class.

Celloger Mini is manufactured in S. Korea by Curiosis, Inc. Formed in 2010, Curiosis' expert team of engineers and scientists is dedicated to designing innovative instrumentation to enable work progress improvement. In partnership with Curiosis, Cosmo Bio USA is dedicated to providing first-class sales and technical support for Celloger Mini in the USA and Canada.

Celloger Mini comes standard with a plate holder for standard multiwell culture plates. Plate holders for other culture vessels are available.

Data, control signals, and electrical power run through a single ethernet cable capped by a watertight RJ45 connector to insure reliable service under harsh incubator conditions. Operating power to the ethernet cable comes from "Power over Ethernet" (PoE) adapter which itself is powered by a 19 volt laptop-like DC power supply.

Celloger Mini SOFTWARE: CellLogerMiniApp

The SETUP screen is one of the four main screens for controlling Celloger Mini. Instantly set center positions for the type of vessel being used or jog around the plate and set your own. Also, here is where you will confirm focus parameters.  In this example, center positions are set for a six well plate. Selecting another vessel type from the "well plate" options calls up a corresponding plate image in the plate panel (blue circles).

The image below shows SETUP screen plate panels set (with a single click) to capture images from all well centers of a 96-well plate (left) and, a 6-well plate with positions set manually (right).

Use the SCAN screen to set the desired interval between image capture for set positions, and to set the the total run time. The app will calculate the total number of cycles (one around the set positions) for the run. The SCAN screen is also used to monitor progress of the on-going run.

The ALBUM screen shows your accumulated images and allows for video creation with various options. You can also load images from past scans for reexamination.

At the ANALYSIS screen, use your imaging data to calculate confluency and growth rate curves for the current scan or from previous scans.

Hardware FAQ

What is the magnification of the microscope equipped to the Celloger Mini?
Celloger Mini is equipped with a 4X objective lens.

Is Wi-Fi function available? It is not possible with current equipment. You can set the Wi-Fi function by installing the Wi-Fi router or changing the Wi-Fi IP settings, and changing the subnet mask.

For multiple products, how can I connect the cables?
In the case of multiple systems, it can be connected through HUB and one cable per device must be connected.

What types of vessels can be used?
Various types of vessels can be used because different holders can be manufactured.
Currently available containers are well plates, T-flasks and Petri dishes.

What is the purpose of the fan function?
This is to remove the moisture inside the equipment by discharging heat generated internally (motor).

What is the resolution of Celloger Mini?
Celloger mini has two options for the resolution which are high and normal. Normal resolution is 1.25MP and high resolution is 5MP.

What is the maximum storage capacity?
The maximum storage capacity varies depending on the user’s hard drive capacity.

How long is uptime of Celloger Mini?
There is no time limit depending on the capacity of the user’s hard drive, but our recommended operating time is about 2 weeks.

Has the product been tested for the durability of temperature and humidity?
It has passed the durability of temperature and humidity through internal test.

Are Celloger Mini and tablet compatible?
Interlocking function with a tablet is not provided.

What is the minimum unit of the XY Stage that can move?
The minimum unit of the XY Stage is 1 µm

What is the repeatability (error range when re-positioning at the same point)?
The repeatability is ±100 µm.

What is the moving range of the Z-axis for autofocusing?
The moving range of the Z-axis is 7 to 8 mm.

Software FAQ

How is the field of view different depending on the microscope magnification?
The field of view at 4X is 1.4 x 1.0mm.

What type of analysis function is available in software?
Confluency and growth curve are available. For more information, please refer to the Celloger Mini brochure.

Can I change the frame rate(FPS, Frame per second) between images?
Yes, it can be changed through the FPS bar in the album tab of the software.

Is auto-focusing or manual-focusing possible for each well plate?
Yes, it is recommended to focus manually first and autofocus at the specified position on each well plate.

Can I specify multiple locations in one well?
Yes, the stage moves to the middle of the well when the well is clicked with the mouse in the software, and if the desired point is clicked while holding down Ctrl key, the stage moves to the specified position, so multiple positions can be specified in one well.

What is the meaning of the X and Y axis of the growth curve?
The X-axis represents time, and the Y-axis represents confluency.

Can I count the number of cells?
Cell counting function is not provided. We recommend using FACSCOPE B, our automatic cell counter for cell counting.

Is the Stitching or Stacking function available?
The current version of Celloger Mini does not support stitching and stacking functions but they are available in Celloger Mini Plus .

Can I import images from outside other than the captured images?
Only images taken with the Celloger Mini can be used.

Does the equipment autofocus when moving each well?
It automatically focuses on the specified point.

In what format can I save my photos?
You can save in TIFF, JPG, PNG format

Can I crop the part of the screen to create a video?
The current version of Celloger Mini does not support Crop function.
