A3 monoclonal antibody is an antibody produced against rat Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma (MFH)-derived clone (MT-8) to investigate the generation of MFH. Immunohistochemistry demonstrates that the antigen of the antibody exists on the membrane of MT-8 and it is confirmed that the molecular weight is approximately 80kDa. This antibody is confirmed to be highly specific to rat MFH cells. It is also found that it stains rat calf undifferentiated mesenchymal cells (perivascular cells) and alveolar vascular endothelial cells.
