Chondrocyte culture kit (rat/rabbit)

Kit for culturing chondrocytes. Please use this culture system for elucidating the function of chondrocytes, developing therapeutic drugs for joint diseases, cartilage regeneration experiments, etc.

Background

With the advent of an aging society in Japan, the number of people with joint disorders that interfere with their daily lives is expected to increase year by year, reaching approximately 1% of the population. Most of these joint diseases are caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis caused by damage or necrosis of cartilage tissue.

The following two types of animal species are included in this culture kit.

• "F-3 (rat nasal septal cartilage)" is a product kit containing chondrocytes that are primary cultured from rat nasal septal cartilage tissue without impairing function, and a dedicated medium that can grow and maintain these cells.
• "F-8 (Rabbit)" is a product kit that contains chondrocytes that are primary cultured from rabbit articular cartilage tissue without impairing function, and a special medium that can grow and maintain the cells.
