For rapid lysis and nucleic acid isolation from many Gram positive bacteria  
   
 
   
Produced from a submerged culture of Streptomyces fulvissimus TU-6, Labiase contains b-N-acetyl-D-glucosaminidase activity and lysozyme activity. Labiase effectively lyses cell walls from many Gram positive bacteria, including lactobacillus, aerococcus, and streptococcus. This enzyme preparation can be used to study cell wall structure, for protoplast preparation, and for isolation of DNA, RNA and intracellular components.
