Anti FFAR2

The short-chain fatty acid receptor FFAR2 (free-fatty acid receptor 2; GPR43) is a G-protein coupled receptor for short chain fatty acids such as acetate and propionate. FFAR2 is abundant in leukocytes and adipose tissue and appears to be expressed by peptide YY (PYY)-immunoreactive enteroendocrine L cells in human large intestine. FFAR2 activation can activate Gi and Gq. In FFAR2 deficient mice, FFAR2 activation in adipocytes resulted in inhibition of lipolysis and a reduction of plasma free fatty acids. This mouse monoclonal antibody is reactive with human and rat FFAR and tested for IHC and ELISA applications.
