Hexanoyl-lys adduct (HEL), a biomarker of
lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress, is formed by reaction
of linoleic acid hydroperoxide with lysine. This kit enables
the sensitive detection of HEL in animal urine and serum using
a well characterized anti-HEL monoclonal antibody. In use, HEL
in samples inhibits the binding of anti-HEL to immobilized
HEL. Bound anti-HEL is then detected with peroxidase labeled
anti-murine Ig
antibody.

is a gastric peptide hormone that inhibits several gastic
functions. Plasma PYY levels decrease after eating. This
immunoassay enables the convenient and sensitive
quantification of PYY in human plasma, showing essentially no
reactivity with the relative NPY peptide. In use, PYY in
sample inhibits maximal binding of biotin-PYY to PYY antibody
which are quantitated in a color reaction using peroxidase
substrate
